The History of Dukes A&W (aka HitchSales.com)
Dukes A&W was established by my grandfather, William Duke in 1928 as an auto repair shop in the garage behind his house on Gray Street in downtown Louisville. After 72 years, the company relocated to 1000 Industrial Blvd., in the Fern Valley Road area.
With a limited number of companies selling and installing trailer hitches in the Louisville area, and recognizing a growing need, grandpa decided to expand his business in the 1950's by filling that demand. It did not take long before Dukes A&W became the leader in Louisville, Kentucky and the surrounding area for sales, service and installation of a wide variety of hitches.
Being the visionary that grandpa was, it was not long after that he recognized the need for quality, reliable, trailer repairs and service. His vision, work ethic and determination built the reputation for excellent service, quality products and customer value which continues on today under my direction, his grandson, William (Bill) Berger.
Under my watch, grandpa's legacy keeps moving forward. Dukes has grown to be the leading provider and installer of quality towing products, services, and full service trailer repairs.

In 1995, Dukes A&W began selling electrical maintenance and lighting supplies to the automotive and trucking industries. Everything from shrink terminals, shrink tubing, tape and tie wraps, to nuts, bolts and screws.
